some couples walk into your life and instantly feel like old friends. corrie and brady are exactly that. they are honestly two of the kindest people i have ever met, the kind who make everyone around them feel like their best friend. they’re supportive, generous, and so deeply in love that you feel it before they even say a word.

they met at a climbing gym, and corrie still remembers her first thought about brady: that he might just be the kindest person ever. (spoiler, she was right.) from that day on, they’ve been each other’s person, always cheering each other on and always making room for the people they love.

for their elopement, they chose the redwoods of northern california, and it could not have been more perfect. we based ourselves around trinidad, one of those idyllic, quiet little coastal towns where the world seems to slow down. the day was overcast and moody, the kind of soft, misty light that makes the whole forest feel like a storybook. we made our way to a hidden waterfall tucked deep in the redwoods. corrie looked like an actual fairy walking through the ferns, and brady could not stop looking at her.

they were surrounded by their closest friends, the people who have loved them through every chapter. there were happy tears, big hugs, and a kind of quiet joy that only shows up when everyone in the circle truly wants the best for the couple.

then came the vows. they wrote their own, and i can’t even put into words how stunning they were. so heartfelt, so honest, so them. i was doing my best to hold my camera steady through my own tears.

the sweetest moment of my day came afterwards, when corrie told me that her best choice was brady, and her second best choice was me. i will be holding onto that forever. it’s the reason i do this work.

what they wanted most from their photos was to capture every emotion of the day, the big ones and the tiny in-between ones. so that’s what we did. the laughter, the tears, the quiet looks, the hugs from friends, the way the fog moved through the trees. every frame is a feeling.
